The profession of Project Management has developed an extensive jargon which can be a bit confusing for new starters in the game.

Project Management Development International (PMDI) intends this page to provide an introduction to various key terms or techniques in project management in order to give visitors a better understanding of some of this new language. This will expand over time and should become a useful resource to people entering this challenging area.

In addition, organisations or individuals seeking to develop a consistent project management methodology often underpin their process via the use of project management templates. In order to assist this process PMDI will provide free templates from this page as downloads. The templates offered will change regularly.

Theses templates are offered for you to consider with respect to adding value to the management of your projects. Feel free to use them and modify them as required

While we strongly believe that a ”best practice” Project Management methodology is achieved by developing a structured document set that can be reviewed (and improved), PMDI is not recommending the use of these particular templates and takes no responsibility for their upkeep or application in your project context.
